 David E. 'Gene' MickelAfter several years of extensive travel as a real estate franchise executive, returned to his first love: mountain and recreational real estate. Actively involved in the community, he served as Director of John C. Fremont Hospital, Past President of the Board of Realtors and the Mariposa Rotary Club, Member of State Congressman Montieth's Business Advisory Board, and active in the Mariposa Economic Development Commission. Gene enjoys football, automobiles, and initiated a project which takes a group of Mariposa students to Mexico each year to build an orphanage. His sense of integrity and ethics is well-respected in the community, and Sierra Gold is a reflection of his high standards.  Kay MickelBroker Associate Kay Mickel tends to the administrative side of the office and is active in many community activities. She's past president of the Mariposa Rotary (Mariposa Rotary meets at 7 a.m. on Thursday mornings at the Red Fox) She's also a past director of the Chamber of Commerce, and the State of California Mining and Mineral Exhibit, Past President of the Board of Realtors, former member of Congressman Radanovich's Business and Professional Advisory Board and in 1994 Mariposa County's Business Woman of the year. She currently serves as an active Red Cross disaster volunteer, instructor, and board member. Kay has a degree in Cultural Anthropology from Sacramento State University and accomplished a lifelong dream when she spent six weeks at Tel Dor in Israel on an archaeological dig.
